A situation with a role and tasks

Pick a scenario — a job interview, the doctor, renting a flat. You get a role and a few tasks to complete in the conversation. Something in the description unclear? Tap “Translate”. Or just chat about anything: in Free Talk the tutor remembers what you talked about before.

The conversation stays inside the app. Tap the mic or type your reply. Open “What you could say” for ideas with a translation. Adjust the voice, speed and subtitles in Settings.

With Premium, Microsoft Azure AI assesses voice replies up to 30 seconds during conversations and recorded phrases in the travel phrasebook. You see a score from 0 to 100, accuracy, fluency and individual word scores. This assesses spoken pronunciation; grammar mistakes are reviewed separately. Longer voice replies can still be sent, but receive no pronunciation score.
